For love in my life is yet to come...

Pictures fade in the background of my life,
Like erratic stars flickering in the night.
I join each to decipher memories so wide,
Different elements of my being dancing with light.
Only to realize that I had missed out some,
For love is my life is yet to come…

I may have felt its aura skim me before,
Like the first rain-drops that kissed my face
And made me lean and crave for more
Leaving me buoyant in that steady, soothing pace.
And so I leave my hands bare to gather some
For love in my life is yet to come…

Like the velvety touch of a baby’s kiss,
There were few moments that tingled my spine.
But each was similar with that one essence amiss,
Like a beautiful verse bereft from its rhyme.
And so I wait for that missing one,
For love in my life is yet to come…

I peep into the moonlight cautious and coy,
Waiting for a sound to set my heart fast.
In this hope to savour a unique joy,
I find this wait too sweet as it lasts.
And hence I smile like a patient one,
For love in my life is yet to come…

I will say only one thing- only God knows what made me write this... that too in the middle of the night!!
